Description
Cornus ‘Milky Way’ is an elegant shrub which has rich green foliage and stunning white flowers which pop up in the late spring through to June. In the late summer it even produces strawberry like fruits and the foliage begins to turn from its rich green to reds and oranges in the autumn. This deciduous shrub has a bushy habit and is ideal for any sized garden and suits a lot of garden planting schemes, such as contemporary, Japanese, minimalist, and even prairie. The gorgeous white blooms are made of four petals, surrounding a central rounded boss. As the plant matures these flowers will return each summer in an abundance so long as the previous summer it received plenty of warmth and sun. Height and spread 3m (26’).

How to Grow
Plant Dogwood in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full shade or part shade. Cornus is a very useful shrub, as it can also tolerate damp soils or an exposed position.
More Info
Feed and water dogwoods regularly until fully established. Once established, they will require less attention. To encourage plenty of colourful stems, Dogwood will need regular pollarding in early spring. Cut back all dogwood stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning. Caution: Dogwood berries are harmful if eaten. Irritant to skin and eyes.
