Description

This compact, evergreen shrub is perfect for growing in containers on the patio, where it adds a pop of vivid foliage to highlight the colours of summer annuals and brilliant warm shades to enliven dull winter days.

Known as the Mirror Plant due to the brilliant sheen of its leaves, Coprosma repens ‘Eclipse’ boasts small, glossy dark purple leaves with bright pink edges. As the season progresses, the colours become ever more intense. Ideal for warm and sunny, sheltered gardens, this bushy, rounded shrub makes a colourful specimen for the front of shrub borders or grown as a low hedge. Tolerant of salt spray, it is a superb choice for coastal gardens. In frost-prone locations, it is best grown in a patio container and moved to a frost-free location over the winter months. Height: 50cm (20in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
In mild locations, grow Coprosma plants outdoors in moist, well drained, non-alkaline soil. Choose a position in sun or semi-shade with shelter from cold winds. Coprosma tolerates salt laden air and makes a good choice for coastal gardens, but will require winter protection during cold periods. In frost-prone locations it is best grown in a patio container and moved to frost free location during the winter months.
More Info
Feed and water regularly until fully established. Coprosma requires little attention once established but will benefit from a light trim in summer to maintain a neat, rounded shape.
