With large blooms over a long period on compact plants, Clematis ‘Guernsey Flute’™ makes an exceptional choice for patio growing and small spaces.
The large flowers span 12-14cm across, their immaculate white petals highlighted by red anthers. With a main flowering period from May to July and repeat flowers extending into September, Clematis ‘Guernsey Flute’™ provides a long season of interest in small spaces. The name ‘Flute’ is derived from an unusual feature - the just-open flower buds are shaped like champagne flutes and are held on the plant for an extended period, before unfurling into large, flat, star-shaped blooms.
Growing to a maximum of around 120cm, ‘Guernsey Flute’™ is ideal for patios, containers or borders, especially in smaller gardens where plant selection needs to make the most of available space. Pruning group: 3. Height: 90-120cm (3-4 ft). Spread: 75cm (30in).
