Description

An award-winning dwarf evergreen shrub with fabulous steel-blue foliage. Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Blue Moon’ naturally forms neat ball shapes that add year-round colour and texture to borders, punctuating soft plantings with strong, repeated shapes that unify the garden. It also makes an excellent low-maintenance choice for containers, its tight domes adding elegance and architecture to patio displays. Slow-growing, it requires only occasional clipping and does not suffer from the pests and diseases that box is prone to. Height and spread: 50cm-1m (19-39in).

How to Grow
Grow Cypress trees in moist, well drained soil. Chamaecyparis prefers a neutral or acid soil but does tolerate chalky soils well. Choose a position in full sun.
More Info
Once established, Cypress trees require virtually no maintenance. When grown as a hedge, prune Chamaecyparis at any time between late spring and early autumn, taking care not to prune into older wood.
