Description

Exceptional foliage colour marks out Berberis thunbergii ‘Coral’ as one of the best varieties. Rich, orange-red leaves are edged with fine gold margins. Forming a rounded, slow-growing, dwarf shrub, it’s ideal for small gardens and containers where its vivid foliage colour blazes all season, forming a bright background which enlivens dull borders and patio areas. The yellow flowers in March and April are fairly inconspicuous, but rich in nectar, attracting plenty of pollinating insects to the garden, whilst birds enjoy its dense, thorny cover, making it a useful shrub for attracting wildlife. Robust, hardy and low maintenance. Height and spread: 60-80cm (24-32in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
