Description
Japanese Anemones can be rather large perennials, quickly overpowering narrow borders - but not this one! Anemone hupehensis 'Praecox' is considerably shorter and more compact making it easier to position among other perennials. Dark pink blooms flutter on upright, slender stems above a broad clump of deeply lobed foliage. Flowering from August into autumn, this is a useful hardy perennial for providing late summer colour when most many plants are fading. The nectar rich blooms are also loved by bees and other pollinating insects. Height and spread: 60cm (24").
