Description

Agapanthus ‘Midnight Sky’ belongs to the renowned Everpanthus® series bred by De Wet, the experts in Agapanthus. It features intense purple-blue flowers emerging from almost black buds above clumps of bright green strappy foliage. Everpanthus® are known for their vigour, incredibly long flowering period and excellent re-blooming qualities. Not only do they produce a greater number of flowerheads than other varieties, but each umbel is more densely packed with blooms. An excellent choice for perennial borders and patio pots. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
More Info
Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
