Description

No garden should be without them! Bring your garden to life with this fantastic collection of spring-flowering bulbs. We’ve put together a cheerful mix of much-loved varieties that will bring colour from February through to May wherever it grows. Ideal for planting in dense groups through the front of borders, or placing around the rockery. Why not layer them up in patio pots for a long-lasting succession of colour? Wherever you plant them, these low-maintenance and easy to grow bulbs will welcome the spring to your garden.

From statuesque varieties that create strong architecture amongst mound-forming perennials, to low growing gems for the front of borders and rockeries, every variety in this collection deserves a place in the garden. Spring bulbs are easy to grow and once planted, will virtually take care of themselves, delivering an effortless display year after year.

Bulb Collection includes:

  • Allium 'Purple Sensation' (5 Bulbs) – The architectural blooms of these violet-purple alliums are sure to make a statement in your summer borders. Upright stems carry globes of starry flowers that measure up to 8cm (3”) across. Height: 90cm (36”). Spread: 10cm (4”).
  • Allium ampeloprasum (15 Bulbs) – Globe-shaped heads of tightly packed, very pale mauve, almost white flowers on tall, strong stems that make a great vertical accent in cottage garden borders. Blooming in June and July, Allium ampeloprasum is also great for cut flower gardens and naturalising in meadows. The striking flowerheads are great for drying for an even longer-lasting arrangement! Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 20cm (8").
  • Allium cowanii (15 Bulbs) – Clusters of pure white, starry, long-lasting flowers that are perfect for cutting. Blooming in May and June, this ornamental onion looks lovely planted in drifts at the front of a border or makes a great addition to mixed containers. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators are attracted to the nectar-rich, sweetly scented flowers. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 10cm (4").
  • Allium moly (50 Bulbs) – A ray of sunshine! This vigorous and cheerful little allium produces dense clusters of bright yellow, star-shaped flowers from late spring onwards – sure to brighten up any corner of the garden. Loved by butterflies, Allium moly is ideal for the front of borders, rockeries and containers. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").
  • Allium sphaerocephalon (45 Bulbs) – An understated allium with unusual oval-shaped, maroon-purple flower heads perched atop tall, slender stems that are great for cutting. Best grown in dense clumps amongst other perennials, Allium sphaerocephalon associates particularly well with swaying grasses. Flowering in May and June, it is great choice for sunny borders and gravel gardens. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 8cm (3").
  • Narcissus 'Tete-a-Tete' (10 Bulbs) - Delightful miniature daffodils that will brighten even the dullest of spring days. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 8cm (3").
  • Crocus 'Ruby Giant' (10 Bulbs) - Crocus 'Ruby Giant' is an early cultivar blooming from as early as February. Height: 10cm (4"). Spread: 5cm (2").
  • Tulip ‘Angelique’ (16 Bulbs) - Peony-type bearing two or three blooms on each stem. Creamy green buds opening into soft shades of blush pink. Flowers late April to early May. Height: 50cm (20in). Spread: 20cm (8in).
  • English Bluebell (10 Bulbs) - The nodding, violet-blue flowers of these hardy, native bulbs attract insects to their delicately scented flowers.

  • Upgrade with: Daffodil 'Minnow' (25 Bulbs) - This dwarf daffodil has tiny creamy white blooms with buttercup yellow centres. Each delicate stem carries up to five blissfully fragrant flowers. Height: 15cm (6").
