Description
Instantly recognisable for its thick woody stem and bold stags-head of stiff, green, sword-like foliage. Yucca elephantipes is a distinctive house plant with an upright habit, making it perfect for creating a bold display without taking up too much floor space. This easy going, undemanding plant has a particularly architectural appearance that makes an excellent addition to a contemporary setting. With time, and plenty of water, it will mature to a sizable and most impressive specimen. Height: 10m (32’). Spread: 4.5m (14').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.

How to Grow
Position Yucca in a bright, sunny spot at an average room temperature - these plants will thrive in a south facing position. They can cope well in part shade but this will significantly slow their growth.
More Info
Water freely between spring and autumn, allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. The lower leaves of Yucca will naturally die back as the plant grows. These should be carefully removed, to maintain a tidy appearance.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
