Vitax Slug Gone are natural and organic wool pellets that are used as a deterrent for slugs and snails on plants. This product is very popular with environmentally-conscious and organic gardeners. Slug Gone is a 100% natural product and is derived from British wool.
Slug Gone works effectively by being applied to the soil below the plant to create an irritating, absorbent mat/barrier that works as a natural slug/snail repellent. This product prevents slugs and snails from reaching the plant, whilst also adding nutrients to the soil and locking in the moisture.
Slug Gone Product Advantages:
A biodegradable product that contains natural slow release nutrients that helps feed plants
The tiny fibres form a mat/barrier which is an irritant to slugs and snails
Improves water retention in the plant
Creates a self-felting mulch
Prevents weeds from forming when applied
Very good at retaining water, making it great to combine with soils and composts
Biodegrades in 6 to 14 months whilst delivering organic nutrients to the plant
Perfect to use in flower beds, container pots and hanging baskets
Slug Gone contains naturally occurring nutrients consisting of a biodegradable protein fibre which releases nitrogen, potassium, sulphur and other trace elements that are essential for plant growth.
How To Use Vitax Slug Gone:
To deter slugs and snails, lay the pellets around the stems of the plants. To get optimum results, place Slug Gone in a 10cm radius around the plant, then add water which will then cause the fibres in the product to bond together.
The swollen wool pellets in Slug Gone form a felt barrier which makes it difficult for slugs and snails to travel across. The wool pellet mat/barrier also contains abrasive particles which irritate the slugs and snails and deters them.
Vitax Slug Gone is safe to use around pets and children.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
