Tulip ‘Red Riding Hood’ is distinguished by its brilliant colouring and sturdy foliage that bears bold maroon stripes. This Greigii type flowers early in March/April, so it’s perfect for bridging the gap between late winter and the onset of spring flowers. The handsome leaves give rise to large, single blooms, dark red on the outside and bright scarlet inside with a black base. Growing to only around 20cm, it makes a bold statement in containers or at the front of borders. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Height: 20cm (8in). Spread: 15cm (6in).
