Description
The common Mock Orange, is a hardy deciduous shrub which is both easy to grow and easy to maintain. The dense green foliage provides the perfect backdrop for the masses of creamy white blooms which appear in summer. The flowers of Philadelphus coronarius are noted for their strong scent, often referred to as "orange blossom" and can be used as hedges and screens as well as a fragrant addition to any shrub border. Height: 300cm (118"). Spread: 250cm (98").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Philadelphus plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Mock Orange plants at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Philadelphus requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
