A cottage garden staple
Gets bigger and better with age
Will last a lifetime in the garden
Make use of the addictive blooms of Peonies in your grden and cutflower displays. Peonies are a cottage garden staple, and will last a lifetime in the garden, getting bigger and better with age, so are always worth the investment.
This duo comprises of the following varieties:
'Sarah Bernhardt' - gorgeous rose pink, double flowers appear in profusion early in the summer season, a large bloom that has ruffled inner petals to create a simply stunning effect.
'Buckeye Belle' - has sumptuous, deep scarlet, semi-double blooms and beautiful contrasting golden anthers. A stunning peony with the most vibrant colour, an evocative fragrance and layer upon layer of petals which will give you the most glamorous display.
Culinary note: The petals can be added to salads, or cooked slightly and sweetened for a treat. Peony water was also once considered a delicacy and the blooms can be floated in punches. For more details about edible flowers click here.
