Description
It’s easy to see why Osteospermum 'Purple Sun' is a multi-award winning African Daisy. The extraordinary colours of its wide, daisy blooms make a dazzling display throughout the summer, when the flowers virtually smother the dark green foliage. African Daisies thrive in full sun, opening their blooms wide on the hottest days. This variety is neat, compact and well branched forming a bushy, rounded plant. Perfect for patio pots or the front of sunny borders – it looks great in a rockery too! Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Pot up osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.
More Info
Feed and water Osteospermum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded Osteospermum flowers throughout the flowering period to encourage more blooms to be produced.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
