Description

An unusual bi-coloured variety, the base of the flower head is soft, crushed purple, morphing into lime green and finished with a pinnacle of ice white.

Easy to grow, this charming spring bulb quickly naturalises to form dense carpets of colour beneath trees and shrubs and makes a dainty display in patio pots. Muscari flowers look superb with daffodils, tulips and forget-me-nots and can also be cut for a small vase indoors.Height and spread: 20cm (8in).

How to Grow
For the best effect, plant muscari bulbs in large groups. Grape hyacinth plants prefer a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well drained, fertile soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 5cm (2") apart.
More Info
Allow the foliage of Muscari plants to die back naturally as this will help to feed the bulbs for the following year. Overcrowded clumps can be lifted and divided in summer while the bulbs are dormant.
