Description
How to Grow
Lilac 'Josee' has reddish-pink buds which open to an explosion of pale lavender-pink blooms in early summer. The flowers are richly perfumed, filling the garden with scent and colour. If deadheaded regularly a second flush of bloom may appear later in the summer. Attractive heart-shaped foliage cloaks the spreading branches, retaining its fresh appearance throughout the season thanks to its particularly good resistance to mildew. This hardy, deciduous shrub has a neat, compact habit that is well suited to patio containers or planted in sunny borders and wildlife areas. Height and spread: 150cm (5').

Grow lilac plants in rich fertile, well drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Young Lilacs will benefit from a sheltered position.
More Info Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Prune lilac bushes in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining stems. After pruning, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the shrub.
