These compact citrus fruit trees will spread more than just happiness. The zingy lemon fruits can be made into tasty marmalade for your favourite breakfast preserve! Citrus trees make fabulous patio and conservatory plants. The foliage is always glossy and handsome, creating the perfect backdrop for their dainty white blooms which fill the air with a heavenly scent. The fruits that follow may take up to a year to ripen but are well worth the wait.

Citrus trees are capable of surviving brief periods below 0C, but are best grown in large containers and moved indoors to a bright frost free position from autumn to spring. Ultimate height and spread: 1.5m (59"). Supplied as 15cm potted plants.

How to Grow

Plant citrus trees in patio containers in a mix of ericaceous compost and neutral, soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Repot the plant at its original soil level and firm well into the new container. Water well and position in a frost free position in full sun.

Stand citrus trees outside from May to October. Water freely in summer and mist leaves daily to increase humidity and discourage pests. Feed with citrus plant fertiliser every 2 weeks. Move plants indoors from October to a bright, frost free position (4-12°C) away from cold draughts and radiators. Reduce watering in winter but do not let the plant dry out completely. Too much or too little water may cause the fruits to drop.

Last order date: Order before 9am, 19th December (UK mainland only) for guaranteed delivery in time for Christmas. Please note, Christmas Gifts will arrive between 4th to 22nd December.
