Description

Ficus are one of the most popular foliage houseplants. With their lush, rich green, glossy leaves they offer a variety of interesting shapes and textures, from the slender pointed leaves of Ficus benjamina to the spoon-shaped leaves of Ficus ‘Moclame’. Slowly maturing into tall, erect plants they also create strong architectural focal points that work well as sole specimens or as part of a larger houseplant arrangement. Ficus are renowned as air purifiers, removing toxins and improving air quality within your home. Maximum height: 300cm (118"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Ficus Houseplant Mix comprises a mix of Ficus varieties selected at random and may include, but is not limited to, the following species:

  • Ficus benjamina (Weeping Fig)
  • Ficus ‘Alii’ (Long Leafed Fig)
  • Ficus microcarpa ‘Moclame’ (Chinese banyan).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow in bright, filtered light, well away from the direct glare of the sun, in normal room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F). Avoid positioning near cold draughts and radiators.
More Info
Water regularly between spring and autumn, allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out completely. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Any necessary pruning should be undertaken between in autumn or winter. Avoid moving Rubber Plants too often to prevent leaf drop.
