This vigorous F1 hybrid excels over older types, germinating more readily, flowering earlier and producing even more flowers over a longer period. Delphinium grandiflorum 'Hunky Dory Mix' is a dwarf perennial delphinium forming ultra-branched plants with multiple, shorter flower stems that provide continuous blooms all summer. 'Hunky Dory Mix' comes in three harmonising colours: rich blue, sky blue and white. The large flowers are borne on compact, bushy plants that suit the front of borders or containers. Height and spread: 30-40cm (12-16in).

Sow February to April. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Seal container inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 18-20C (64-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 21 to 30 days.
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3 inch) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for 10 to 15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30cm (9-12 inches) apart.
For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
