Description

Brighten your garden with our stunning Crocosmia Collection. Their funnel-shaped flowers in fiery shades of red, orange, and yellow bring a bold colour accent to summer planting schemes. Crocosmias are high performing border plants creating intense colour in late summer and autumn whilst also providing foliage interest with their upright, strap-shaped leaves. They form dense clumps over time, ensuring maximum impact in borders, particularly when planted in bold groups. Like all Crocosmia, these three varieties are hardy, reliable and easy to grow.

Crocosmia Collection contains the following varieties:

  • Crocosmia 'Firestarter' – A compact variety featuring dazzling bicoloured flowers that are yellow with a bright orange margin. Height: 75cm (29in). Spread: 10cm (14in).
  • Crocosmia ‘Harlequin’ - Dark stems bear racemes of starry, funnel-shaped flowers with a yellow throat and alternating orange and red shades on the reverse of the petals. Height: 60cm (24in). Spread: 10cm (4”).
  • Crocosmia ‘Hot Spot’ - Sunshine-yellow blooms decorated with a central ring of cherry red blotches, which bleed along the length of the petals. Height: 75cm (29in). Spread: 10cm (14in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Crocosmia in rich fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. If necessary, improve soils by adding plenty of well rotted manure prior to planting. Plant Crocosmia corms at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 10cm (4") apart.
More Info
Crocosmia requires little attention throughout the growing season. Remove old foliage and faded flower stems in autumn and apply a mulch of bark chips or well rotted compost to protect the corms over winter. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Crocosmia in spring to maintain their vigour.
