Description

Decorate trellis and obelisks or cover an unsightly wall or fence with our stunning Climber Collection. This collection of climbing and twining plants are all guaranteed to not only add height and interest to your garden but to also give you a stunning backdrop to show off your other plants against. Collection contains the following varieties. Trachelospermum jasminoides, Lonicera japonica Hall's Prolific & Sollya heterophylla.

Savour the perfume of these fragrant climbers on a warm summer day! Their scented blooms bring colour and interest to vertical spaces, hiding unsightly fences beneath a cloak of green foliage. Climbers are particularly useful in confined areas, bringing a leafy feel to the garden while taking up surprisingly little space! Perfect for creating a backdrop for summer shrubs and perennials, or training onto a pergola for a magnificent focal point.

  • Although Trachelospermum jasminoides is not of the Jasmine family, it is often confused as such for its common name of Star Jasmine. This elegant evergreen climber bears thousands of pure white, star-shaped flowers throughout summer on twining woody stems. Height and spread: Up to :8m (26').
  • The twining Lonicera thrives in most aspects but flourishes in dappled shade. Honeysuckle 'Hall's Prolific' a particularly useful climber for growing through deciduous hedges and trees to provide a showy summer display and a little winter colour. Height: 8m (26’). Spread: 2m (6’).
  • Sollya heterophylla is better known as the Bluebell Creeper. Its twining stems are cloaked in evergreen foliage that makes a splendid backdrop for its nodding, sky blue flowers throughout summer. Grow it in patio containers that can be moved into a heated greenhouse during the winter months. Height: 2m (6', 6"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plus, we've also provided the option of getting the perfect starter kit for your new plants as well. Why not upgrade your collection and also receive our sturdy Black & Gold Tower Pot along with a flower boosting pack of 100g incredibloom to give your trio something to start their climbing!

How to Grow
Grow climbers against a suitable, sturdy support such as trellis or strong wires attached to walls and pergolas. Plant in any moist, free draining soil. Poor soils can be improved by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost. When growing climbers in patio containers, use soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Repot the plants, firming them into their new containers. Water well and position in sun or semi shade.
More Info
Feed and water climbers regularly throughout the growing season until they are fully established. In autumn or spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plants. Please refer to individual varieties for pruning information
