Description
The stems of this vigorous flowering quince bear simple, oval leaves and from March to May are smothered with pretty, pure white, delicate looking flowers. Chaenomeles speciaosa 'Nivalis' produces aromatic, green-yellow fruit soon after the flowers pass and the spiny branches are a useful deterrent against unwanted intruders and marauding cats. Height: 2.5m (8'). Spread: 4m (13').

Plant Japanese Quince into moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or dappled shade.

Chaenomeles plants are very low maintenance; and will only need a light prune after flowering each year.
