Description
Japanese Barberry is a particularly useful spreading shrub for its tough resilient habit and versatility. Easy to grow in most conditions, this deciduous shrub makes a superb specimen plant or prickly hedge. The pale yellow blooms are carried in spring along the length of each branch, making a gentle contrast with the fresh green foliage. Glossy red berries continue the display into autumn when the leaves turn to vivid shades of red, orange and gold. Berberis thunbergii is a well know species that is widely used in the landscaping industry and parent to many popular cultivars. Height: 100cm (40"). Spread: 250cm (98").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
