It can often be hard to know what to get someone for Christmas, but Amaryllis ‘Jolie’ is a simple gift that cannot fail to be appreciated by any recipient. It is even perfect for people with no gardening experience, as Amaryllis ‘Jolie’ comes already sprouted, promising the excitement of growth from the start. Bold red, regal blooms held on strong, column-like stems are timelessly stylish and a classic accompaniment to festive décor. How to Grow

Place in a bright, warm position and water and feed regularly during active growth. After flowering, deadhead the faded blooms and cut away the old stems from their base, leaving the foliage intact. Continue to feed and water amaryllis bulbs until the leaves begin to yellow and die back and the bulb enters its dormant period. During dormancy, keep the compost just moist and move containers of amaryllis to a cool, dry position until active grown begins again. Container-grown amaryllis bulbs should only be repotted every 3 to 5 years as they resent root disturbance and prefer to be slightly pot bound.
