Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Alternatively, plant plugs directly into flower pouches.Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.

Plant petunias in well-drained soil in full sun after the threat of frost has passed. Petunias will tolerate partial shade but prefer protection from wind. Ideal for containers, beds and hanging baskets.What special care do petunias need?
Their half-hardy nature means that petunias cope well with most conditions, and they love full sunshine. Plant out in well-drained soil after risk of frost has passed, and keep them properly watered during dry spells.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
