If no record is broken, prize money will be paid to the growers of the top ten heaviest pumpkins as follows. If a record is broken, the highest second place prize will be £150.
The Autumn Pumpkin Festival takes place on Saturday 12th October 2013 (date to be confirmed). Entrants wishing to partake in the competition must present their pumpkins at the Autumn Pumpkin Festival, Royal Victoria Country Park, Southampton, UK on this date. Entrants will be responsible for all costs incurred in transporting their pumpkins and attending this event.
The above records stand as of Tuesday 18th December 2012, therefore, if a record is broken after this date and before our weigh-in on Saturday 12th October 2013 (date to be confirmed) the new record weight will be used and not the weight as specified above.
Any pumpkin that breaks the world record will become the exclusive property of Thompson & Morgan, of Poplar Lane, Ipswich, Suffolk IP8 3BU.
Anyone winning a prize agrees to allow Thompson & Morgan the right to use any photographs taken of entries to be used for publicity and marketing purposes and to assist in any publicity and marketing regarding the prize.
The winner will make themselves available for any reasonable requests by Thompson & Morgan for publicity or marketing efforts including photography and interviews.
Thompson & Morgan’s decision on prize eligibility is final.
The name and county of the prize winner will be made available following receipt of an appropriately worded letter addressed and sent to T&M; Direct Marketing Manager, Thompson & Morgan, Poplar lane, Ipswich, Suffolk IP8 3BU, enclosing a stamp addressed envelope. Thompson & Morgan UK reserve the right not to respond to such requests if received more than ninety (90) days after the winner is chosen.
